Dr. Yamuna has had a versatile career over the years and has several publications in peer reviewed national and international journals to her credit.
She has handled drafting and prosecution of patent applications in the areas of microbiology, biotechnology, molecular biology, biochemistry, pharmaceuticals, bio-pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, chemistry and therapeutics. She also advised clients on patentability, freedom to operate and infringement analysis apart from managing patent portfolios for clients.
She is an expert in biodiversity matters having represented clients before National Biodiversity Authority on securing permission and sealing agreements.
She has appeared before the Indian Patent Office and the Intellectual Property Appellate Board [in the past] in connection with IP and Biodiversity matters.
